Conor Patrick Delaney, MB, BCh, BAO, MCh, PhD, FRCSI(Gen), FACS, is Professor of Surgery at Case Western University, and Chief, Division of Colorectal Surgery and Vice Chairman, Department of Surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Delaney is also Director of the Institute for Surgery and Innovation at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals, Case Medical Center.

Dr. Delaney received his undergraduate degree from the University College Dublin Medical School, Dublin, Ireland. He received his master of surgery from the University College Dublin. He received his PhD from the Graduate School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, and University College Dublin Medical School.

Dr. Delaney is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the International Surgical Society, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the International Society of Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery. He sits on the editorial board for World Journal of Surgery, Diseases of the Colon and Rectum, The Open Surgical Oncology Journal, and the World Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Delaney has also written many theses, books, journal issues, and chapters. He is the recipient of numerous prizes, scholarships, and awards. Dr. Delaney serves as Principal Investigator for several ongoing studies and has presented at many national and international meetings.
